Culture Lifecycle Tracking
Precision fermentation.
Zero compromise.
One-time ownership.
Your personal fermentation lab assistant. Track batches, monitor sensors, chart maturation curves, and perfect your craft—all on-device, with no accounts and no cloud dependency.
Capabilities
Everything you need.
Nothing you don't.
Batch Management
Track every fermentation from inoculation to archive. 23 categories—from kombucha and sourdough to mead, miso, and beyond. Fork batches to trace lineage across generations.
Sensor Integration
Pair BLE sensors from Tilt, Govee, and Inkbird. Monitor temperature, pH, gravity, humidity, COβ, dissolved oxygen, salinity, and pressure in real time.
Maturation Engine
Pre-configured sigmoid, linear, and logarithmic curves model each fermentation type. Milestone reminders tell you when to taste, burp, degas, or bottle.
Ancestry Trees
Visualize your fermentation lineage as a directed acyclic graph. Every fork, every generation, every variable change—mapped and traceable.
Flavor Profiling
Spider charts across 10 dimensions—sweet, sour, salty, bitter, umami, funky, fruity, floral, spicy, earthy. Structured tasting notes with 5-point evaluation.
Weight Loss Tracking
Check-in measurements with linear regression analysis. Predict completion, compare trajectories, and identify your best-performing batches.
Starter Cultures
Maintain persistent cultures—SCOBY, mother, kefir grains, koji, tibicos. Track cumulative age, generation count, and connected batches.
Recipe Library
20+ built-in recipes across difficulty levels. Create custom templates with ingredients, instructions, variables, and notes. One-tap batch creation.
QR & NFC Tags
Generate QR codes for any batch. Write NFC tags for instant identification. Scan to open batch details—perfect for labeling jars and vessels.
The Instrument
A lab notebook that thinks.
Inoculus isn't a social platform or a recipe aggregator. It's a precision instrument for people who take fermentation seriously. Every feature exists to serve the craft, not to monetize your attention.
The Technology
Built on Flutter with SQLite for zero-latency local storage. BLE sensor integration pulls raw data from your hardware—no cloud intermediary, no API rate limits. Maturation curves use sigmoid and logarithmic models calibrated to each fermentation type. Linear regression powers weight-loss prediction. All computation happens on your device.
The Philosophy
Fermentation is patient work. Your tools should match that patience. Inoculus is designed to be a permanent utility—software you buy once and use for years. No subscription cliff. No feature gates. No "free tier" that nudges you toward paying monthly. Every capability ships on day one.
The Architecture
100% on-device. Your data never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export it. JSON backup and restore. CSV exports for sensor data and weight check-ins. PDF lab reports for documentation. Share via QR, NFC, or direct file transfer. You own your data because it literally lives in your pocket.
Governance
What we don't do matters.
Zero Tracking
No analytics SDKs. No telemetry. No usage fingerprinting. We have no idea how you use the app—and that's by design.
Zero Subscriptions
One purchase. Every feature. Forever. No recurring charges, no annual renewals, no "premium" tier hiding half the functionality.
Zero IAP
No in-app purchases. No consumables. No unlock tokens. The app you buy is the complete app, full stop.
"We do not track you. We do not sell data. We do not serve ads. Your fermentation data stays on your device, under your control, permanently."
Ownership
Buy it once. Use it forever.
One-time purchase. No subscription.

Meet the Developer
Travis Winegar
“I built Inoculus because fermentation deserves better than ad-supported recipe apps and subscription-gated timers. Every batch you track, every sensor reading you log, every tasting note you record—it all stays on your device, in your control. I run this project under MOMUS DEV, LLC, and my only stakeholder is you.”
The “Solo” Advantage
“My ‘smallness’ is a security feature. As a solo developer, I’m not beholden to advertisers or data brokers. I answer only to you.”
— Travis, Creator of Inocul.us
